Peter Sandford Achievement Award
Following the sad death of Peter Sandford at the beginning of the 1999/2000 season, it was decided to introduce a special annual award (named The Peter Sandford Achievement Award). The award is to be presented to the junior player who the Management Council consider has contributed most to Avon table tennis during the season.
Factors which the Management Council believe are key in deciding who the recipient of the award should be includes: Sportsmanship, Behaviour, Temperament, Commitment, Performance and Appearance.
This criteria may be applied to a players association with the Avon County representative teams, the Avon County Closed Championships, their local league and their local club.
